Chatpata Chicken Roast with Veges

Yummy full meal Chatpata Chicken roast with Vegetables. Full of spices and taste exactly like how Pakistani people like. Full of flavors do give it a try and add less chilies if you like less spicy.

Ingredients,

List 1

  •  Yogurt   250 g
  • Tamarind pulp   2-3 tbsp
  • Ginger paste   2 tbsp
  • Red chili powder   1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder    1 tbsp
  • Garam masala powder   1 tbsp
  • Salt  1-1/4 tsp
  • Oil  3 tbsp

List 2

  • Bottle Gourd   1/2
  • Carrot   1
  • Capsicum   1
  • Potato  1-2
  • Green chili  1-2

List 3

  • Whole Chicken with skin   750-850  g
  • Rosemary   1 stem (Optional)

Directions,

1. Take whole chicken with skin. Wash and dry it.

2. With the help of a muslin cloth squeeze all water from yogurt and throw it.
Then add this yogurt with all other ingredients of list 1 in a bowl.

3. Mix well.

4. Marinate Chicken with this marination for 1 hour.
Keep the remaining marination we will use it in vegetables.

5. Take all vegetables.

6. Cut all vegetables in cubes.
Boil bottle gourd and potatoes in boiling water for 2-3 minutes. Take out and dry.

7. Marinate all these vegetables in remaining marination.

8. Keep Filled chicken with these vegetables and keep remaining in baking dish. Keep rosemary stems on it.

9. Cover tightly with foil.

10. Bake it in a preheated oven on 200 C for 60 minutes almost.

  3. Thank you for sharing this recipe. I love the fact that it’s a one pot dish and you can leave it to marinade and then slowly cook for an hour – do you think you could lower the oven temperature and leave to cook for a few hours instead? I also love the colour of the dish created by your combination of spices, definitely one to try out!
