Shahi Murg Qorma

Shahi Murg qorma is a traditional Indian/Pakistani dish, chicken cooked in yogurt / onions / powder and whole spices /almonds give it awesome different taste .
Serving= 4-5
Ingredients,
List 1 marination
  • Chicken with bones small pieces   500  gm
  • yogurt  6 tbsp
  • turmeric powder  1/2 tsp
  • salt 3/4 tsp or as required
  • Kashmiri red chli powder 2 tsp
  • coriander powder 1 tsp
  • cumin powder 1/2 tsp
List 2 whole Garam Masala
  • small cardamom  5
  • bay leave 2
  • cinnamon stick 1
  • cloves  5-6
  • whole black pepper  7-8
Other ingredients,
  • onion 2
  • oil for frying onions
  • oil 1/4 cup
  • Kewra water  1 tsp
  • almonds  6
  • Poppy seeds  1 tsp
  • caraway seeds (Kala zeera)  1/2 tsp
  • nutmeg powder 1/8 tsp
  • garam masala powder 1/4 tsp
  • ginger 1 inch piece
  • garlic 6 cloves
Directions,
1. Take 3 onions ,finely slice them ,fry them on medium heat until crispy and brown.... take out...let them cool... save 1/4 for end layering rice(dum)...crush with hands the remaining onions...set a side.

4. take 6 cloves of garlic and 1 inch ginger piece, make a fine paste with 1/4 cup water. then in chicken add all this with all list 1 marination ingredients.

5. marinate it for 10-15 minutes.

6. in a pan add 1/4 cup oil with list 2 whole garam masala cook it until its begin to crackle.

7. now add marinated chicken and stir for 5 minutes.
