Aloo ke Parathy/ Potato Paratha

aloo ke parathy
Serving = 4-5 persons
potato 1/2 kg
fresh coriander 4 tbsp
green chili 1
onion 1 small
salt 1/2 tsp
red chili powder 1/4 tsp
cumin 1 tsp
garam masala 1/4 tsp
lemon juice 1 tbsp
plain flour 1 cup
wheat flour 1 cup
salt 1/4 tsp
water as required
oil 2 tbsp
1.in a large bowl add plain flour,wheat flour,salt,oil,make a fine dough with water.dough should be medium to hard, set a side for 30 minutes.
2.boil potatoes,chop coriander,onion and green chili
3.in a bowl add boiled potatoes,salt,red chili powder,garam masala,lemon juice,cumin,fresh coriander,onion,chili.
4. mash it well with hands or masher.
5.make very small balls of the dough using dry flour. Balls should be very small almost 25gm each. This step is very important because we are making aloo ke parathy, not atay ke parathy..:). if you don’t have scale to measure 25 gm dough ,just make a small ball of dough almost half of your finger long.
6.roll the balls,make small roti.
7.take a hand full of potato mixture place it on 1 roti.
8.take the other roti and place it on the potato mixture.press the edges.
9.sprinkle dry flour on both side of roti.
10.roll it and make a very thin roti.
11.now cook it on a flat pan or Tawa with some ghee or butter.
12.serve with podina raita/mint yogurt dip.
