Korean Fried Chicken Recipe

Korean fried chicken is a dish from South Korea. Spicy and sweet it tastes divine. Making it is so easy, quick and simple. I used boneless chicken thai in it but you can also make it with chicken with bones or wings. Authentically Korean use gochujang (Korean chili paste) in it. But I am using sriracha sauce in it. Yes the taste would be a little different but it is awesome. Also I served it with waffles .You can eat it as it is like a finger food or serve it as appetizer.

Ingredients

List 1,

  • Boneless chicken thai   500 g
  • Corn flour  3/4 cup
  • Self-raising flour  1 cup
  • Eggs  2

List 2,

  • Sriracha sauce   1/2 cup
  • Dark brown sugar  1/4 cup
  • Light soy sauce  3 tbsp
  • Lemon juice  3 tbsp
  • Sesame seeds  1 tsp

Cut chicken in small cubes, beat both eggs in a bowl, gather corn flour, flour ,eggs and chicken at one place.

Now take all pieces of chicken 1 by 1 and first coat chicken in cornflour, then in eggs last in self-raising flour. Keep all chicken pieces in a plate.

Fry chicken pieces in hot oil until golden brown. Do not over cook.

Add all list 2 ingredients in a wok or pan. Add in half tsp sesame and save half for garnishing.

Now turn on the heat and cook until first boil.

Add in fried chicken pieces

Turn off the heat and coat them nicely with the sauce.

Sprinkle 1/2 tsp sesame seeds on top and some chopped parsley.
I served it with waffles.
