Creamy Chops (Lamb/Goat) with Roasted Cumin Dip

Serving = 5-6 persons

Ingredients,

  • Baby Lamb or goat Chops   900 gm  almost 1 KG
  • Light cream  6 tbsp
  • yogurt  3 tbsp
  • lemon juice   4 tbsp
  • salt  1-1/2 tsp
  • garlic  4-5 cloves
  • ginger  1 inch piece
  • fresh coriander chopped  4 tbsp
  • fresh mint chopped  2tbsp
  • fresh green chilies  4-5
  • garam masala  1/2 tsp
  • dry ginger powder  1/4 tsp
  • dry garlic powder  1/4 tsp

Directions,

2. chop fresh coriander,mint, green chilies,ginger ,garlic with knife on chopping board...do not chop them in chopper because we need juices of these vegetables, if we chop them in chopper ,lamb chops will not get the taste we want.

4. marinate these chops over night if you have time,that will taste better. if don't have enough time marinate them for at least 3-4 hours.

5. in a wide pan on high heat add these chops with out marination. cook for 10-15 minutes on high heat, chops will leave their own water and also they have marination in them. so don't need to add water in them.after 10-15 minutes with lid on ,on medium heat cook them for 15 minutes or until tender. because they are marinated over night ,they will be tender in just 30-35 minutes . don't over cook them. they will break.

5. in a wide pan on high heat add these chops with out marination. cook for 10-15 minutes on high heat, chops will leave their own water and also they have marination in them. so don’t need to add water in them.after 10-15 minutes with lid on ,on medium heat cook them for 15 minutes or until tender. because they are marinated  ,they will be tender in just 30-35 minutes . don’t over cook them. they will break. when completely dry take out in a dish.
serve with bhuna zeera raita....take 1/2 cup yogurt, add in 1/4 tsp fresh garlic paste,1/2 tsp finely chopped chilies, 1 tsp dry roasted cumin powder, 1/4 tsp salt...mix well
