Naan the most favorite type of bread in Pakistan/India. I am making this in a very simple way without oven or Tandoor. You can have it with different types of curries. Applying garlic on simple naan makes it garlic naan and it has awesome flavour you must try.
1. In a bowl take 250 ml luke warm water. add 1 tsp yeast and 1 tsp sugar. mix well.Leave it for 5 minutes in a hot place. Luke warm water will help yeast to active. Be careful that water should be slightly warm ,in hot water yeast can not do its work.
2. in a big bowl sift plain flour and salt. Add egg and yeast water mixture, 3-4 tbsp oil. mix with light hands until fully combine. Now knead it for just 1 minute.
5. for cooking you will need a rack like this. i am using a cake cooling rack. you can use any rack. I suggest you to buy 1 rack for these naans , like you buy any other pans for cooking. But don’t worry if you don’t have this kind of rack. you can also make these in a flat pan.
10. Now press it and spread it with hands. Try to keep it even from every side. and if you feel its sticking just apply oil on your hands. and apply oil on the work surface.
11. cook it on the rack with medium heat on and move the rack on the fire so that naan will cook from every side. And when you see light bubbles on naan, flip it and again cook it and keep moving rack until naan fully cooked. This will take almost 1 minute or less than 1 minute. At end apply butter on naan and take out in a plate.
