Pakistani Bakery Style Chicken Patties

Serving= this will make 20-22 patties

Ingredients,

  • chicken  200 gm  (use leg meat optional)
  • ready rolled puff pastry    2 sheets    600-700 gm (you can buy this from any store or bakery)
  • soy sauce  2 tbsp
  • white vinegar  1 tbsp
  • garlic paste  1/2 tsp
  • butter 2 tbsp
  • plain flour  2 tbsp
  • onion 1
  • milk  1 cup
  • salt  1/2 tsp or as required
  • black pepper  1/2 tsp
  • egg  1

Directions,

1. in a pan add chicken,soy sauce, white vinegar, garlic paste...turn on the heat cook it on medium heat until completely tender.

4. now add 2 tbsp plain flour. mix well on slow heat for 30 seconds.

5. add 1 cup milk. now on high heat cook it . until slightly thick.

8. mix on high heat until you get a thick mixture. but be careful don't burn it.If its burning slow the heat then cook.

9. now take ready rolled puff pastry sheet. cut it with pastry cutter ,or if u don't have pastry cutter, cut it with any cup or glass.

10. beat an egg with 2 tbsp water,brush it on both sides of cut pastry. keep 1 tsp of chicken mixture in the middle of round cut pastry. layer 2nd round on it . press the edges with fingers. now brush the top with egg mixture. bake it, if u want perfect golden layer on top of your pastry. brush it with egg wash 1 time keep it in fridge for 15 minutes with plastic wrap. then again brush it ,then bake it ,this way you will get perfect golden pastry.

10. beat an egg with 2 tbsp water,this is called egg wash,brush it on both sides of cut pastry. keep 1 tsp of chicken mixture in the middle of round cut pastry. layer 2nd round on it . press the edges with fingers. now brush the top with egg mixture. bake it, if u want perfect golden layer on top of your pastry. brush it with egg wash 1 time keep it in fridge for 15 minutes with plastic wrap. then again brush it ,then bake it ,this way you will get perfect golden pastry. you can also freeze it at this point. and bake direct from freezer when ever you want to.
11. bake it on 180 C ,in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. serve
