Chicken Nihari from Ready made Masala

Ingredients,

  • chicken   600 gm
  • ready made nihari masla   5 tbsp
  • garlic paste  1 tbsp
  • ginger paste  1 tbsp
  • salt 1-1/2  tsp or as required
  • water  8 cups
  • wheat flour   5 heaped tbsp
  • oil 1/2 cup
  • onion 3 medium

For garnishing

  • fresh coriander
  • fresh ginger
  • fried onion
  • lemon
  • green chilies

Directions,

1. I am using this nihari masala , you can use any other ready made nihari masala.

2. On medium heat in a pan add 1 tbsp garlic and 1 tbsp ginger paste with chicken ,stir it for 3-4 minutes.

3. Now add 5 tbsp ready made nihari masala and 1 tsp salt, with 1/4 cup water. stir it until all water evaporates.

8. with half lid on ,cook it on low heat for 20-25 minutes. stir in between.

9. At end heat 1/2 cup oil ,add sliced onion ,fry them until brown.

11. for garnish ,chop fresh coriander, julian cut ginger, chop green chilies, and keep some fried onion and lemon. These fresh garnish will improve the flavors of nihari.
