Game day snacks platter (chicken tenders/corn cheese balls/chickpea crispies/broast sauce))

Today was Pakistan India’s cricket match. A very special day for all Pakistani people who love cricket and also who don’t like cricket (like me)…. So my husband was very excited …I just want to make this day more special for him so made these 3 fried snacks for him with famous Karachi broast sauce.

Have a look how I made them 1 by 1.

1. Chicken Tenders

Ingredients,
For marination list 1
  • Chicken boneless   300-400 g   (I use chicken tenders )
  • sour cream   3 tbsp
  • salt  3/4 tsp
  • sriracha sauce   4 tbsp  (you can also use hot sauce)
  • soy sauce  1 tbsp
  • garlic paste  1 tsp
For coating list 2
  • self raising flour  1 cup
  • rice flour  1/2 cup
  • chat masala  1 tbsp
  • salt 1/4 tsp

Directions,

1. Take chicken, cut in small cubes. 2. add all above list 1 marination ingredients in it. 3. mix and leave for 15 minutes.

2. Corn Cheese Balls

Ingredients,

  • sweet corn tin  150-160 g
  • big bread slice  1-1/2
  • green chili  1
  • fresh coriander  4-5 stems
  • salt 1/4 tsp
  • paprika powder  1/2 tsp
  • cheddar cheese  shredded 1 cup

For coating

  • flour  1/4 cup
  • salt 1/8 tsp
  • paprika powder 1/8 tsp
  • bread crumbs as required

Directions,

1. take sweet corn tin, strain it, throw all extra water in it.... add corns,green chili, fresh coriander, bread slices, salt 1/4 tsp, paprika 1/4 tsp in a chopper...chop it very fine. 2. take out in a bowl, add shredded cheese...mix with light hands.

2. take out in a bowl, add shredded cheese…mix with light hands….be careful do not add too much salt in it because cheddar cheese has enough salt in it.
3. Make balls...coat them with plain flour. 4. take 1/2 cup flour with salt 1/4 tsp and 1/4 tsp paprika powder, add some water in it...make slightly thick paste (like we made for pakora) 5. coat balls in it then in bread crumbs.

now freeze them...or keep them in fridge for half hour then fry them.

fry them in hot oil...and try to make it quick because they have lot of cheese in them...if you keep them in oil for long they will tear... 1 more thing, try to coat them nicely with coating ,other wise they will tear while frying.

3. Chickpea Crispies

Ingredients,

List 1

  • Chickpeas  boiled   1-1/2 cup  ( I used can of boiled chickpeas)
  • bread slice  1
  • green chili 1
  • fresh coriander   5-6 stems
  • fresh mint   7-8 leaves
  • onion  1 small
  • salt  1/2  tsp
  • red chili powder  1/2 tsp
  • cumin whole  1 tsp

For coating list 2

  • egg  1
  • plain flour  as required
  • bread crumbs  as required

Directions,

1. Take chickpeas can....throw all water...dry them nicely with paper towels. 2. In a chopper add onion, green chili, fresh coriander, mint. 3. Chop them fine. take out in a bowl.

coat these balls first with plain flour, then in beaten egg, then in bread crumbs.

4. For Broast Sauce

Ingredients,

  • Yogurt  1 cup
  • mayonnaise  2 tbsp heaped
  • boiled potato   1  small
  • green chili  2
  • garlic cloves  2
  • salt 1/2 tsp or as required

Directions,

1. Add all above ingredients in a blender.. blend them fine. sauce is ready.
