Mushroom Omelette Recipe

Omelette is a part of breakfast in almost every part of the world. Everyone likes it and make it in their different styles. Basic omelette is a mixture of just eggs and salt pepper, but you can add any of your favorite thing in it, like onions,tomatoes,green chili,mushroom,boneless meat (chicken,fish,shrimp,lamb) and cheese etc.

Today I have made Mushroom Omelette. This omelette is a family favorite, me and my husband love it. Making it is so easy and quick.

I remember how first time I made it, me and Imran (husband) went out for breakfast and he ordered mushroom omelette. We enjoyed that so much and next day I copied that recipe with some of my favorite additions.Came out superb. Since than I always make it when we want something special in breakfast.

Mushroom Omelette with a cup of tea and little chitchats with hubby in morning, nothing better than this  🙂 

Ingredients

  • Eggs large  3 
  • Onion  1 small
  • Mushroom  7-8
  • Garlic paste  1/2 tsp
  • Butter  1 tbsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Salt as required
  • Black pepper crushed   as required
  • Parsley  as required 
  • Cheddar cheese  1/4 cup or as required

1. Heat a frying pan, add 1 tbsp oil with chopped onion, saute it few seconds.

2. Add in mushrooms and 1 tsp garlic paste.

3. Saute it for 2-3 minutes,add salt and black pepper. turn off the heat.

4. Take it out in a plate and clean the frying pan with paper towels.

5. Now add 3 eggs in a bowl ,sprinkle some salt and beat it with fork.
Be careful while adding salt in eggs because mushrooms and cheese have also salt in them.

6. Heat the frying pan again, add 1 tbsp butter and 2 tbsp oil. Let it melt.

7. Pour the eggs in the pan, spread them and cook on medium heat.

8. You can see egg is cooked from bottom and slightly raw  from top. This is the time to put mushroom and cheese on top.

9.Now keep mushrooms on one side and cheese on other sides of the omelette.Like shown in picture.

10. Fold it. and let cook on low heat for 1 minute. Then turn it and cook from other side for few seconds. Be careful with the heat, do not burn it, keep the heat low, also do not over cook the omelette or it will loose it’s fluffiness.

11. Sprinkle some green onions on top with crushed black pepper.

12. mushroom omelette is ready, serve it with toasted bread or eat it as it is.
