aloo murgi(potato chicken)(Home style)

Some times you need simple flavors and a curry that you can easily cook for your family and also that should be in budget so that all your family members eat it with taste ,so here i am showing you all a very simple and basic aloo murgi / Potato chicken curry recipe ,which a lot of people make every day, so just have a look how I made it 🙂

Serving = 4

Ingredients,

  • chicken with bone  350- 400 gm
  • onion 2 small
  • tomato 1 and 1/2
  • garlic 4-5 cloves
  • ginger  1 inch cube
  • salt 1 tsp
  • red chilli powder  1 tsp
  • coriander powder   1 tbsp.
  • turmeric powder  1/2 tsp
  • cumin whole 1/2 tsp
  • lemon juice  2 tbsp.
  • fresh green chilies and coriander for garnish

Directions,

1. Take two small or 1 big onion, slice it , add 8-9 tbsp oil in a pan ,fry them golden brown. take them out.

2. now in a chopper, add brown onion,1-1/2 tomato, 4-5 cloves of garlic, 1 inch cube of ginger, a little bit of water. now blend it until you get fine paste. set a side.

4. now in same onion oil, add chicken stir it on high heat for 5 minutes.

5. now add potato.
6. now add curry paste you made, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp red chili powder, 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder. mix it well. stir it for 4-5 minutes then add 1 cup of water ,let it cook until chicken and onions are tender.

7. when chicken and onions are tender add 2 tbsp lemon juice and add a little water if u want more gravy and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
