Chicken Karahi Recipe
Chicken karahi (Urdu: چکن کڑاہی), or kadai chicken, is a dish from Pakistan noted for its spicy taste; it is also notable in North Indian cuisine. The Pakistani version does not have peppers (capsicum) or onions whereas the North Indian version uses capsicum. The dish is prepared in a karahi that is Wok.It can take almost 30 to 50 minutes to prepare and cook the dish. It can be served with naan, roti or rice. This dish is one of the authentic dish of Pakistani cuisine.

That means it is cooked in lots of butter and please do not skip this part or you will not get the perfect taste 🙂 .Also I used canned tomatoes because these are easy to cook in a recipe like this.

Ingredients
- Whole Chicken with bones 800 g
- Oil 1/4 cup
- Butter 3-4 heaped tbsp
- Canned Tomato 1/2 cup or 200 g
- Garlic finely chopped 1-1/2 tbsp
- Salt 1 tsp or as required
- Red chili flakes 1 tsp
- Coriander powder 2 tsp
- Garam masala powder 1 tsp
- Black pepper crushed 1/4 tsp
- Lemon juice 1 tbsp
- Ginger 3 inch piece
