Balushahi

Balushahi is a traditional Pakistani/Indian dessert/Sweet that has been around for centuries. It is a sweet pastry that can be filled with a variety of nuts, fruits, and other ingredients. I am making it without any filling. Balushahi has its origins in the Mughal Empire, where it was introduced by the ruling family from Central Asia. Today, it is popular all over India and Pakistan and is enjoyed by locals as well as tourists visiting the region.

Some people find this sweet balushahi treat too tricky to make, as its making involves deep-frying the dough in oil and producing an even texture that requires skill.

However, with a little bit of patience and practice, anyone can learn how to make it perfectly. Many people enjoy making balushahi at home because its ingredients are simple; all you need is plain flour, sugar syrup, cardamom powder and oil for deep-frying.
