Balushahi is a traditional Pakistani/Indian dessert/Sweet that has been around for centuries. It is a sweet pastry that can be filled with a variety of nuts, fruits, and other ingredients. I am making it without any filling. Balushahi has its origins in the Mughal Empire, where it was introduced by the ruling family from Central Asia. Today, it is popular all over India and Pakistan and is enjoyed by locals as well as tourists visiting the region.
