Chicken Makhni/Butter Chicken

Ingredients,

  • Chicken with bones  500 gm
  • onion chopped 1
  • garlic paste   1 tsp
  • yogurt    300 gm
  • butter   1/4 cup
  • cream  300 gm
  • salt as required
  • garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric powder  1/4 tsp
  • black pepper  1/2 tsp
  • red  chili powder   1/4 tsp
  • green chilies 4-5
  • cumin powder  1 tsp
  • fresh coriander   as required

Directions,

  1. in a wok heat butter,add chopped onions stir well cook them for 1 minute now add garlic paste mix well.
  2. add chicken stir well for 7-8 minutes on medium high  heat.
  3. now add salt,garam masal powder,turmeric powder,red chili powder,cumin powder,yogurt.
  4. with lid on cook it for 25 to 30 minutes on low heat.
  5. now add black pepper,green chilies , cream mix well.
  6. with lid on cook it for about 5 minutes on very low flame.
  7. take out the lid put 2 tbsp butter on top ,add fresh coriander .
  8. serve with hot naan or roti.
