Spanish Meat balls (albondigas)

Ingredients,

for meat balls,

  • meat mince  300 gm
  • onion 1 medium chopped
  • garlic paste  1 tsp
  • green chili 1
  • Italian mixed herbs   1 tsp
  • salt  1 tsp
  • black pepper  1/2 tsp
  • egg 1
  • bread crumbs fresh or dry   3-4 tbsp.
  • fresh coriander or parsley   2 tbsp.
  • plain four  for coating

For gravy,

  • onion  1
  • capsicum  1/2
  • hot water  1-1/2 cup
  • chicken cube  1/2
  • paprika  1 tsp
  • salt  1/2 tsp
  • oil  6 tbsp. or as required

Directions,

1, add all above meat ball ingredients in a bowl, except plain flour, mix well with hands.

2. now make round balls, coat them with plain flour . set aside.

3. now in a pan add 6 -7 tbsp. oil fry these meat balls when golden brown ,take them out.

4. in the same pan with remaining oil add finely sliced onion and finely sliced capsicum, stir for 2 minutes on medium heat. be careful that onion will not change its colour. Because its not Pakistani qoftay with golden onion gravy.. 🙂 .

5.now add salt, paprika, hot water, chicken cube, stir well for 1 minute.

6.add meatballs in it. cook on slow heat for 15 minutes with lid on stirring in between.

7. garnish with fresh parsley or coriander.

8. Spanish meatballs goes so well with garlic bread or plain rice or plain roti.
