Ingredients,
- ready made swiss roll 1 big
- milk 1 cup
- egg yolks 4
- sugar 1/2 cup
- vanilla essence 2 tsp
- gelatin powder 2 tbsp
- double fresh cream 300ml
Directions,
2. boil 1 cup milk in a pan, don’t completely boil it,just slightly hot, when you see bubbles with the sides of pan.
3.put the milk in egg mixture, first add a little , mix it then add remaining. see i told you to add milk in egg mixture because if you add eggs in hot milk, they will scramble. so remember to add milk in eggs. mix it well.
4. now cook it on medium heat and stir continuously until its thick. set a side.
2. add this in custard mixture, mix well. leave it to cool.
3. beat double cream until stiff peaks, add this in custard mixture.
4. fold it . set aside.
2. now cut the swiss roll into slices. place them in bowl.
3. pour all custard mixture in it.
4. place swiss roll slices on top of it. cove with plastic wrap. place it in fridge for at least 24 hours.
serve cold.

How should I make a different mixture instead of this custard mixture as my family members don’t like eggs in this much quantity in any recipy
use custard powder if you do not like eggs… make slightly thick custard then do remaining steps…..
or you can also make it with ice cream…use any flavour of your choice… leave on room temperature… fill in rolls….freeze them… ice cream cake is ready.
Thank u soo much for ur reply, but I wanna ask how to do it with an ice cream?? Have to use gelatin powder in that too?? Im afraid if I did anythn wrong it will spoil my swiss roll too..
no do not add gelatin…just freeze it.
