Student Biryani

ingredients,

  • beef     1/2 kg
  • rice        1/2 kg
  • salt         3 tsp
  • potato    3
  • onion fried  1 cup
  • tomato  chopped  3
  • green chili   3
  • fresh coriander  half cup
  • dried plum  10
  • yellow food colour   1/4 tsp
  • vegetable oil     3/4 cup
  • salt    1- 1/2 tsp
  • red chili powder    1 tsp
  • coriander powder   1-1/2 tsp
  • turmeric   1 tsp
  • ground  garam masala     1 tsp
  • cumin 1 tbsp
  • ginger garlic paste  3 tbsp
  • yogurt   1 cup

Directions,

  1. in a pan add 3/4 cup oil and fry onions until  golden brown.
  2. now add ginger garlic paste,beef,tomato,yogurt,1-1/2 tsp salt,chili powder,turmeric,coriander powder and green chilies cook them for about 10 minutes on high flame.
  3. now add 2 cups of water with lid on cook it until beef is completely done.
  4. fry 3 potatoes (cut each in 4 pieces)
  5. now add dried plums and garam masala ,fried potatoes  mix it well.
  6.  in a separate pan boil water with cumin and 3 tsp salt.
  7. now add rice cook them until half done. throw the excess water.
  8. layer half rice in a big pan,then beef curry,again remaining  rice ,again curry
  9. now some fresh chopped coriander ,again rice and add food colour on it.
  10.  on high flame cook it for 5 minutes.
  11. reduce the flame,very low flame  with tight lid on cook it for 15 minutes.
