Chicken Pulao/Chicken Rice

Ingredients,

  • rice   250 gm
  • chicken with bones   350 gm
  • tomato   2 skin less
  • onion  1
  • ginger garlic paste   1 tbsp
  • salt   1 tsp or as required
  • garam masala powder  1 tsp
  • cumin powder   1/2 tsp
  • red chili powder   1/4 tsp
  • green chilies   2-3
  • lemon juice   2 tbsp
  • vegetable oil 5 tbsp

Directions,

  1.  soak the rice in water for half hour.
  2. in a pan heat 5 tbsp oil add chopped onions.golden brown them.now add ginger garlic paste and chicken.
  3. stir well for 5 minutes on high heat.
  4. now add skinless tomatoes ,salt ,red chili powder,cumin powder,garam masala powder.stir well.
  5. add 1/4 cup water cook it for 30 minutes with lid on it.
  6. take off the lid add lemon juice and green chilies and stir on high heat for 3-4 minutes.
  7. now add 400 ml water in chicken gravy .let it boil.
  8. drain the soaked rice.
  9. add them in boiling water.
  10. cook on high heat until all water evaporates.
  11. now on very low flame with lid on cook the rice for 10 minutes.
  12. serve.
