15. mix 1 cup water and 1/2 cup sugar ,let them boil and cool, this is your sugar syrup ready……Now take cake board, keep 1 cake on it, apply sugar syrup on it thenapply some strawberry jam on it…then keep some whipped cream on top.
I tried this recipe and found a few problems. Firstly the cake when baked was very thin, more like thickness of a biscuit and so I had to make a second batch which ended up with 4 layers not 2. The cake was very hard so all the effort seems wasted because it wasn’t enjoyable. The cream recipe was really good and finished off the look and taste of the cake nicely. Also in the ingredients for the cake you have included vanilla extract but don’t show where it should be added to the recipe.
Hello. Cake is hard when you over bake it or over beat it after adding flour. So be careful do not over cook it and I added vanilla with eggs, it is in the recipe.
