Aloo Methi (My Mom’s recipe)

Potato and fenugreek tasty and healthy curry. Its my mom’s recipe she makes it really yummy and perfect I just tried to make it like her 🙂

I am uploading this on mothers day ,thanking her a lot to teach me such amazing recipes 🙂

Ingredients,

  • Fenugreek (methi)   2 big bunches
  • spinach  (palak)  1 bunch
  • potatoes  2 medium
  • onion  1 medium
  • ginger garlic paste   2 heaped tbsp
  • tomato  1 small
  • yogurt  250 g
  • milk 1/4 cup
  • fresh green chili  1
  • salt  1  tsp
  • red chili powder  1 tsp
  • coriander  powder  1 tsp
  • turmeric powder  1/2 tsp
  • garam masala powder  1/4 tsp
  • black pepper crushed  1/4 tsp
  • lemon juice  1 tbsp

4. Cut it very fine. set it a side.

7. Cut potatoes in cubes...fry them until nicely tender...take out set a side.

8. Take a pan, add 1/4 cup oil...add 1 finely chopped onion...stir for 2-3 minutes until changes its colour.

11. Now add chopped fenugreek (methi)...stir it for 1-2 minutes...we need to bhnno it nicely.

14. Add yogurt and milk..and green chili...

15. Stir and let it cook on slow heat until all extra juices evaporates.

16. now add fried potatoes, garam masala, black pepper, and lemon juice....taste salt if you feel its less add more...if you like more spicy add 1 more green chili.

17. stir it until you see oil with sides of the pan...server with some butter if you like.
