Homemade Strawberry Jam Recipe
There is nothing tastier than a homemade Strawberry Jam full of fresh fruits. Store bought versions are loaded with sugar and artificial flavors.Once you made it,you wouldn’t believe how easy and tasty it is.
For the perfect consistency you need to buy a sugar thermometer. There are other ways of checking jam consistency but do buy this because then there will be no confusion 🙂
If you don’t have this thermometer, pop a couple of plates in freezer, to test if the jam is at setting point, spoon a little onto a cold plate, leave for a minute and then push the jam with your finger. If the jam crinkles and separates without flooding back, setting point has been reached.
A simple way of making jam is equal quantities of sugar and fruit. Let’s suppose if you have 1 kg fruit then add in 1 kg sugar. Jam sugar is always use in making jam. It has all vegetarian ingredients so your jam will be halal and vegetarian 🙂Â
I used frozen strawberries you can use frozen or fresh as you like. For preserving you will need sterilized glass jars.

- Strawberries 500 g
- Jam sugar 500 g

After some time you will see this white skim coming on top of it. Take it out with spoon and throw it.
Make sure to take it out completely, it will not have any effect on the taste of jam but you will see white parts in your jam, which wouldn’t look nice.
