Ice cream Shahi Tukray

Ice cream Shahi Tukray, made with bread slices and Qulfa ice cream, so easy and yummy

If you like less sugar don’t dip these bread slices too much in sugar syrup, If you like less oil don’t fry them just toast them with little butter.

Serving = 6-7 persons

Ingredients,

  • Bread slices  10-12
  • qulfa ice cream  1 box
  • oil or clarified butter (ghee) for frying
  • sugar  1/2 cup
  • yellow food colour    1/4 tsp
  • pistachio   for garnish
  • small cardamom  1-2

Directions,

1. Cut edges of bread slices. Keep qulfa ice cream on room temperature until it melts.

2. Fry bread slices, or just toast them in 2-3 tbsp butter if you don't want too much oil.

3. Take 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, 2 small cardamom, a pinch of yellow food colour in a pan....cook until 1 tread form....turn off the heat....dip bread slices in it and keep in serving pan.

5.layer all slices in serving pan.

6. garnish with pistachio. let it cool for 7-8 hours then serve...It will taste best when its nicely cool.
