Sawiyon ka muzafir also called Sawiyon ka Zarda is a traditional vermicelli dish… its the first dish we made on Eid .My mom always make this on eid in breakfast . First saute vermicelli in clarified ghee then cooked in sugar syrup or milk. Garnish with some almonds pistachios.
Ingredients,
- Vermicelli 80 g (almost 2 cups)
- sugar 1/2 cup (use 3/4 cup sugar if you like more sweetness)
- milk 1-1/2 cups
- kewra water 1 tsp
- orange food colour 1/8 tsp
- small cardamom 3
- cloves 3
- lemon juice 1 tsp
- clarified butter (ghee) 1/4 cup melted
- almonds and pistachios as required
- crushed coconut 1 tbsp
- silver paper
Directions,
Turn off the heat.
cook until began to crackle.
stir for 15 seconds, now turn on the heat.
