Shahi Tukray a traditional sweet dish of Pakistan. Basically made with fried bread slices soaked in sweet thick milk. But there are so many versions of this yummy sweet dish. I also made this in many styles previously but this time I made this recipe specially for valentines day.
Valentine’s day. It’s the day when people show their affection for another person or people by sending cards, flowers or chocolates with messages of love. But why not celebrate this day in our traditional style. No chocolates or expensive things ….. just our lovely traditional dessert made with a little bit changing in recipe also made with things we already have in our homes and presented with hearts and pink/red colours.
Serving = 5-6
Milk 4 cups
Sugar 1/4 cup
Colored vermicelli 1/4 cup
Pink food color 2 tsp
Corn flour 1/2 tbsp + 1/8 cup milk
Rose water 1 tbsp
Kewra water 1 tsp
Big bread’s slices 6
Oil 1/4 cup
Butter 2 tbsp
Fresh cream or double cream 300 ml
Icing sugar 1-1/2 tbsp
Pink food color as required
Heard shaped sprinkles (optional)
دودھ 4 کپ
چینی 1/4 کپ
رنگین سویاں 1/4 کپ
پنک کھانے کا رنگ 2 چائے کے چمچ
کارن فلور 1/2 کھانے کا چمچ + 1/8 کپ دودھ
روز واٹر 1 کھانے کا چمچ
کیوڑا واٹر 1 چائے کا چمچ
بڑی دبل روٹی کے سلائس 6 عدد
تیل 1/4 کپ
مکھن 2 کھانے کے چمچ
تازی کریم یا ڈبل کریم 300 ملی لیٹر
آئسنگ شوگر 1/2-1 کھانے کے چمچ
پنک کھانے کا رنگ حسب ضرورت
