What I personally feel is making short pastry is easy than baking any other thing. It is very quickly made in food processor but you can also make it by hand.
I have found Sainsbury the best brand. Some of it’s basic things are amazingly good and are available in good prices.I used this sainsbury’s baking block in this recipe and trust me it is cheaper than butter but its taste and texture is amazingly good for pastries. So do try it if you are living in UK.

Tip 1: Use very cold butter in this recipe
Serving= This dough can cover a 20 cm tart tin.
- Flour 175 g
- Icing sugar 25 g
- Butter 100 g
- Salt a pinch
- Cold water 1-2 tbsp almost
- Egg yolk 1
Bake it first on 180 C fan oven for 10 … take out beans again 180 C for 10 minutes
