Bolognese sauce is a meat-based sauce in Italian cuisine, typical of the city of Bologna. It is used for tagliatelle bolognese and to prepare lasagne.
Yes this sauce can be use for both lasagne and pasta. I made this in a big batch then freeze in 1 serving portions that is almost 1/2 cup. So when ever I need a quick dinner for my family, I just take it out from freezer, microwave it until defrost then mix with boiled pasta and serve 🙂 Easy!!!!!
I used these chopped tomato cans and tomato puree in this recipe.
