Mutton do pyaza/mutton with onion

Serving = 4-5 persons

Ingredients,

  • mutton or spring lamb with bones small pieces    500 gm
  • onion medium   4
  • tomato  medium  2
  • ginger garlic chopped   1 tbsp
  • lemon juice  4 tbsp
  • salt   1 tsp
  • red chili powder  1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder  1 tbsp
  • turmeric   1/2 tsp
  • cumin powder    1/2 tsp
  • garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • black pepper   1/4 tsp
  • green chili    4-5
  • oil 6 tbsp or as required

Directions,

1.heat a pan add 6 tbsp oil,slice 1 onion add in,stir for 5 minutes or until light brown.

2.add mutton and ginger,garlic paste.stir on medium heat for 6-8 minutes to get rid of meat smell.

3. now add 2 roughly cubed tomato,salt,red chili powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder,cumin powder mix well.stir for 1 minute.

4.now if you are cooking it on low heat add 300 ml water and cook it for  1-1/2 hours   with lid on.and if you are cooking it in pressure cooker ,add 200 ml water and cook  for 25 minutes or you can reduce or increase the time depends on how tender you want your meat.or just follow the instructions to get the right result.

5.now slice 3 onion and chili.add 4 tbsp lemon in it mix well.lemon will finish the better taste of onion .keep onions aside for half hour  before adding them to your meat,to allow lemon do its work.

6.after 1/12 hours on high heat cook it until all juices finish and stir until you will see oil on sides of pan.

8.now turn the heat to very slow. sprinkle garam masala,black pepper and again with lid on cook it on very slow heat for 10 minutes.
