Lahori Paye

Ingredients,

  • paye    800 gm
  • onion  2
  • tomato  1 small
  • ginger paste   1 tsp
  • garlic past   1tsp
  • salt  1-2 tsp  as required
  • Chinese salt   1/2 tsp
  • red chilli powder   1 tsp
  • turmeric powder  1tsp
  • coriander powder    1 tbsp.
  • cumin seeds   1 tsp
  • garam masala   1 tsp
  • wheat flour 1 tsp
  • coriander for garish
  • chilies for garnish
  • lemon 1
  • ginger Julian as required
  • oil  4-5 tbsp
  • white vinegar and wheat flour for washing lamb/ goat feet

2. for washing them, add 1/4 cup white vinegar and 1/2 cup wheat flour in them .

3. rub this mixture on lamb feet well,leave it for 20-30 minutes and then wash them rubbing properly. lamb or goat feet/paye have some smell in them sometimes ..so this way they will perfectly cook.

4. now take 1 small onion add 4-5 tbsp. oil in a pan.add onion cook it for 1-2 minutes on medium heat.

7. now add paye, 1 tsp salt,1 tsp red chili powder,1 tbsp coriander powder,1 tsp turmeric powder,1/8 cup water and stir for 5-10 minutes on medium heat.

8. now add 5-6 big glasses of water and let it boil on high heat .then on slow heat with lid on cook it for 4 hours.

9. after 4 hours add 1 tsp wheat flour mix in water, 2 tbsp lemon juice,1/2 tsp Chinese salt,1/2 tsp garam masala mix well and cook for 10 more minutes on slow heat.
10. then brown 1 small onion with 5-6 tbsp oil and add this on your gravy.
