Chicken mint Biryani

Ingredients,

For rice,

  • rice   400 gm
  • salt  3 tsp

For chicken gravy,

  • chicken small pieces with bones   500 gm
  • oil  1/2 cup
  • ginger    40 gm or 2 tbsp
  • onion  1 cup or 200 gm
  • tamarind  70 gm
  • mint 10 gm
  • green chili  25 gm or 3 chilies
  • garlic 1 tbsp
  • yogurt   100 gm
  • potatoes 2
  • salt 1-1/2  tsp
  • garam masala  1 tsp
  • cumin powder  1-1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder  1-1/2 tsp
  • yellow food color   1/4 tsp

Directions,

1. boil rice with 3 tsp salt drain it.set a side.

4.mash tamarind with hands throw the seeds and mix with mint and chili mixture.

5.in a pan heat 1/2 cup oil add sliced onions.

7.add chicken,ginger chopped,garlic paste.cook it on medium high heat for 5 minutes.

8.now add 1-1/2 tsp salt,garam masala,coriander powder,cumin powder,yogurt.mix well and cook it with lid until chicken is completely done.or for 30 minutes.

9. in a separate pan fry potatoes cut in 4 pieces.

13.now on this gravy add boiled rice and sprinkle some food color. cover it tight with lid on and cook it for 15 minutes on very low heat .serve.
