Hummus is a yummy dip or spread made from cooked, mashed chickpeas or other beans, blended with tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and garlic. Today, it is popular throughout the Middle East and in Middle Eastern cuisine around the globe.


List 1,

  • Boiled chickpeas   1-1/4 cup
  • Yogurt  2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice  3 tbsp
  • Salt  1/4 tsp or as required
  • Extra virgin olive oil    4-5 tbsp
  • Tahini sauce  1 tbsp
  • Garlic clove 1

List 2,

  • Paprika powder   as required
  • Extra virgin olive oil  for serving


1. Add all list 1 ingredients in a chopper
Blend well until fine paste.
Serve with some more extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle of some paprika powder. Hummus is ready.
