Imli Meethi Chutney/Tamarind sweet sauce

Imli Meethi Chutney/Tamarind sweet sauce for different styles of chat, dahi vada, golgappy recipes. It has sweet and sour taste.

Ingredients,

  • tamarind pulp/ imli pulp   1cup  (how to make tamarind pulp see below)
  • sugar  3/4 cup
  • red chili powder  1-1/2  tsp
  • salt  1/2 tsp or as required
  • ginger powder /sonth   1 tsp
  • cumin powder  1 tsp
  • water  1 cup

Directions,

1. Take all above ingredients in a pan and cook them until slightly thick... keep them in a clean jar after cooling it completely... you can keep this in fridge for 2-3 months.

try not to make it too thick because this will be more thick after some time. Imli meethi chatni is ready.

How to make tamarind pulp

1. take Tamarind in a bowl 2. add 4 cup hot water in it. keep it on high in microwave for 2 minutes. now let it cool for 1 hour. 3. after 1 hour sieve it while rubbing it properly. throw all seeds. 4. tamarind pulp is ready you can see its thick not runny and thats exactly how tamarind pulp should be.
