A scone is a baked good, usually made of flour with baking powder as a leavening agent . A scone is often lightly sweetened and occasionally glazed with egg wash. The scone is a basic component of the cream tea.
With a little homemade jam and clotted cream scones taste so yum. I just love them and this recipe is perfect. I learned this from my Chef Lecturer Scott. He told us that he always uses this recipe in making big batches of scones and it will never go wrong. So thanks to him for this amazing recipe.
You can use glazed cherries/sultanas/raisins in it. I am making them with glazed cherries.
Self-Raising Flour 1 lb
Unsalted Butter 6 oz
Caster Sugar 3 oz
Glazed cherries 3 oz
Salt a pinch
